Church
was founded by a group of nine families during the spring of 2005. Since then, God has brought Peace a long way and we have grown to over 200 members.

Peace
prides itself on being a family-focused ministry with a goal of reaching
out to our community. Toward
that goal, the leadership of Peace conducts on-going strategic planning
retreats to identify opportunities for us to impact our community in a
favorable way. Some of those
opportunities have included: building
an Oktoberfest booth that raised money for sending people to help
Hurricane Katrina victims; working with Habitat for Humanity; sponsoring a needy family during the holidays; ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Wal-Mart during the holidays; participating actively in the Meals On Wheels program which provides quality meals
to shut-ins; sponsoring a child in Indonesia through the World
Vision organization; producing a weekly e-mail prayer
chain that identifies people who need to be lifted up in prayer, and organizing activities for our youth and congregation that provide fun and
fellowship for our Peace family throughout the year.

It
has been exciting to witness many firsts at Peace. Those firsts include: our
first confirmation class, first baptism, first communion service, first
Christmas Eve, Christmas and Easter service. In addition we witnessed the establishment of our musical praise
and worship team. We experienced our first installed clergy with Reverend Leonard Fiene in January of 2006. Pastor Fiene's ministry at Peace opened the door for us to move our worship from Sunday evening to Sunday morning. |

A
truly amazing event happened in December of 2006 when the congregation of
St. Paul joined Peace. We are quite
certain that God orchestrated the joining of these two congregations.
What a blessing it has been for all of us to have an expanded group
of friends and church family with whom to share His love.
In
January of 2007, Peace completed the acquisition of 14 acres of vacant
land fronting highway 11 on the north edge of Seymour. We are certain that God has
plans for our ministry to grow and we wanted to be ready for expansion.

Another first occurred when Reverend Aaron Rosenau was installed as Peace's first fulltime Pastor in September, 2007. The installation occurred two and one half short years since our inception. Since Pastor Rosenau began his ministry at Peace, a couple more firsts have taken place. An early communion class completed their studies during March 2008 and the students are now benefiting from the sacrament of Holy Communion. Also the congregation has approved a search to find
a Director of Youth Ministries to begin this summer. What tremendous blessings God has showered upon Peace in three years of existence! It is difficult to comprehend where He might be taking us. It has been fantastic to see God at work! |

PEACE
LUTHERAN TUITION ASSISTANCE

Lutheran Church supports Christ-centered, high quality education and
considers the Lutheran schools an integral part of its ministry.
Peace encourages members to have their children receive a Lutheran
education and consider tuition payments as treasure given back to the
Lord.

designated as tuition assistance to be distributed proportionately to the
school on the parent’s behalf based upon total tuition due for grades K

Peace members who choose to send their children to a Lutheran
